Films that explore both ends of the earth, from the North with “Reaching Unreachable” navigating the North-West Passage, to rea South with “Walking with Shackleton” retracing the path of the legendary explorer, these films were shot onboard Quark’s Ultramarine Exploratory Vessel while on assignment for Get Lost Magazine. The result are films that break the convention of what a travel film should be, and win multiple awards because of their passionate resonance and emotion. In order to attempt to convey what these experiences do to a person, it was necessary to contort the genre, and offer something much more ethereal, and poetic.
